Idaho/Utah Trip

Arches was amazing, so serene, felt like I do at the beach, just such beauty all around, I do think we got lucky when we went to this hike, so windy and hardly anyone there, so, so peaceful! What a beautiful world God has created for us to explore!

Dylan was so excited to meet Jared Halverson

So fun eating at the Roof Restaurant, such a pretty view & we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves

Paige got her endowments out in the Idaho Falls Temple, such a neat temple & 8th operating temple which is her lucky number! Idaho Falls is such a cute town!

Kids say the darndest things!

Me & Dyl were having a conversation in the car about parenting...& I had said that is what my mommy & daddy taught me & Paige said...

Paige: You have a mommy??
Me: Yes, Nana is my mommy.
Paige: Put both hands up to face...took a gasp of air...I don't believe it!
Me: I have a daddy too-Papa is my daddy.
Paige: Again put hands up to face...I don't believe it!

She was so stunned that I had a mommy & daddy & even more stunned that Nana & Papa were my parents---funny, dramatic Paige :)

We were driving to Jax yesterday & Brynlee was crying & Ross told Dylan to play with Brynlee & Dyl said I can't (he was playing his video game) & Ross said well do something & Dyl said I am playing my video game & said sarcastically, that is something! Already sarcasm at age 5 & oh MUCH MUCH more to come!

Dylan was actually making fun of my accent the other day that I do not think I have! He repeated something I said in his country accent & I said I don't talk like that & he repeated again in his country accent, "I don't talk like that!" It cracked me up!

About 3 weeks ago we were eating at KFC and Paige dropped her fork and Dyl yelled "hurry and get it before 5 seconds!" Everyone was laughing! Guess we need to make it clear that that 5 second rule doesn't apply everywhere!

Dyl was eating some ice cream and said this is so good, I love it as much as I am going to love the person I am going to marry.

I walked into the playroom and saw Dyl was on the phone and had no idea who he was talking too but could hear a lady talking loudly so walked over and saw he had dialed 911! He was so upset and embarrassed!
911 operator: 911 what is your emergency (or whatever they say!)
Dyl: I need to talk to my daddy!
I asked Dyl why he called for and he said I wanted to see how my daddy was doing. Ross had mentioned a week ago that is where he worked and that if someone calls 911 that, that is where daddy works so Dyl assumed that is where he called to talk to Ross! Dyl was so scared a police man was going to come get him-he was crying for a while and when Ross came home Dyl said, "Why didn't you tell me I can't call 911 dad?" He was upset at Ross!

Dyl: How did the dr go today? Me: huh? thinking is he really asking me that?! Dyl: repeated the same question. Me: Good, thanks for asking. Dyl: When did the dr say she will be here? Me: In 5 days Dyl: 5 days (all surprised), then he raises his hands up and says yes we know when she will be here now!

Mommy when is Brynlee going to come out? (I answered I don't know), well why do you want to keep getting fatter and fatter?

We made brownies and Dylan asked Ross if he was going to eat any and Ross said no and Dyl said well I am just going to eat one this time and I won't eat them anymore until my daddy does.

Today Dyl asked for a milkshake this morning for breakfast so I made him one and when he was drinking it, he said, "Is carrots and fruit in here?" And I said, yeah carrots, bananas, strawberries, milk and ice cream (yogurt), and he said in a mad voice, "why did you put ice cream in here? ice cream is not healthy!" he use to complain if I put carrots in there-what a health nut-you won't hear many kids say that!!
